1. Suzu Hirose

Who Is She?: Suzu Hirose is an actress and model. She gained fame when starred in the film Our Little Sister. She won Best Supporting Actress from the Japan Academy Film Prize for her role in the movie The Third Murder, a movie about a lawyer that doubts his client is really guilty of his crimes. Suzu Hirose was also nominated again for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 2021 film A Morning Of Farewell, the story of a doctor that returns to her father’s hometown to provide homecare for her patients while finding a way to deal with their lives and families. Her latest movie is The Wandering Moon, a film about a 19-year-old student offers a 10-year-old an umbrella on a rainy night. After a miscommunication, the little girl is reunited with the student many years later.

2. Zhang Ziyi

The Rebel Princess (2021)/Youku

Who Is She?: Regarded in China as one of the four Dan Actresses. She debuted in the 1999 film The Road Home, a story about a country girl in love with the town’s young teacher. She went to gain international fame from her role in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. She has won several Best Actress Awards for her portrayal of Gong Er in the 2013 film The Grandmaster, a film about the legendary Kung-Fu Master, Ip Man. He finds his peaceful life is interrupted by vengeance. Her most recent role is starring in The Rebel Princess: Monarch Industry. She plays a noblewoman whose life gets turned upside down due to an arranged marriage.

3. Kim Mi-Kyung

Her Private Life (2019)/tvN

Who Is She?: Kim Mi-Kyung is one of the most recognized actresses in Korean television and has gained fans all over the world. She has made numerous appearances in supporting roles in series such as: The Master’s Sun, Healer, and Oh Hae Young. She won Best Supporting Actress from the Korean Association Of Film Critics Awards for her role in Kim Ji-Young: Born 1982, a story about Kim Ji-Young, a woman in her 30’s that start showing signs of being possessed by her mother and late grandmother. Kim Mi-Kyung has won a KBS Entertainment Awards in Hot Issue Variety Award for her role in The Sound Of Your Heart, where she plays the mother of a struggling webtoon writer.

4. Kasumi Arimura

Who Is She?: Kasumi Arimura got her first lead role in the 2017 television series, Hiyokko, the story of a girl from the Ibaraki Prefecture going to Tokyo looking for employment. She won Newcomer Of The Year from the Japan Academy Film Prize for Flying Colors. And she also won Best Actress from Japan Academy Film Prize for We Made A Beautiful Bouquet, the story about two twenty-somethings that miss their train and slowly become aquainted with each other. She has appeared in many acclaimed television dramas and films including Cafe Funiculi Funicula, I Am A Hero, and Sekigahara.

5. Li Qin

The Wolf (2020)/iQiyi/Tencent Video/Youku

Who Is She?: Also known as Sweet Li. She first rose to fame in the television series The Dream Of Red Mansions. She won Best New Actress from the TVS Awards Ceremony for her performance in that series. Her first film debut was in The Founding Of A Party. While trying to change her contrasting roles, Li Qin went to star in the televison adapted series White Deer Plain, the story about a rural woman’s miserable life. Later in the same year, she went on to star in Princess Agents playing the princess of a befallen kingdom. Her most recent work is in The Wolf, a television series about a man that is raised by wolves and becomes the son of the first Emperor of the Yang Dynasty.

6. Yeom Hye-Ran

The Uncanny Counter (2020)/OCN/Netflix

Who Is She?: Yeom Hye-Ran has a long history of televison, movie and theatre performances. Her televsion debut was in the drama My Dear Friends. She acted as the eldest adopted daughter who struggled with domestic violence. Yeom Hye-Ran went on to play the maternal aunt that bullied her niece for her sister’s death insurnace in the critically-acclaimed hit series Guardian: The Lonely And Great God. Although she was a villian in the series, her lively acting made people laugh and that was a feat to watch. She starred in the supporing role in when the Camilla Blooms, she plays a sophistacted divorce lawyer that doesn’t trust her husband. Yeom Hye-Ran won the Best Supporting Acteress for her role in Camilla Blooms from KBS Drama Awards. She starred in OCN drama The Uncanny Counter as a former photographer that has healing powers, and won Best Supporting Actress from the Baeksang Arts Awards for that role. Her first title role was for the 2021 film, Black Light, a movie about a woman whose husband is in a coma after a bad car accident, and the fallout from the other drivers family. She won the Best Actress Award for the role at the Jeonju International Film Festival.

7. Lucy Liu

Kill Bill Vol. 1 (2003)/Miramax Films

Who Is She?: Lucy Liu played Jane Watson in the drama-series Elementary, where she won the Best Actress Award from the New York Women In Film & Television Muse Award. She provides the voice for Master Viper in the hit movie franchise Kung Fu Panda. She won a MTV award for her role as Best Movie Villain in Kill Bill Vol. 1, a movie about a former assassin hell-bent on revenge after a failed murder attempt on her wedding day. Her films include, Charlie’s Angels, Shanghai Noon and The Man With The Iron Fists.
