1. The Housemaid (1960)



What’s It About: Kim Dong-Sik is a pianist and works at a factory of primarily female employees. He is extremely popular among the woman due to his good looks. He offers piano lessons to earn extra money help his overworked pregnant wife from working too much at a sewing machine factory. Dong-Sik asks his wife’s best friend for a recommendation for a housemaid to help around the house. She brings in Myung-Sook, a cleaner at the factory. Soon Myung-Sook begins to show strange behavior while working in the house.

2. The Taste Of Money



What’s It About: Just outside of Seoul lives one of the country’s wealthiest family. Yoon is the president of a company. 3. The Handmaiden



What’s It About: Count Fujiwara is a con man. He has a plan to seduce a Japanese heiress named Lady Hideko. He wants to marry her and then have her committed to steal her inheritance. He hires a pickpocket named Sook-Hee to become Lady Hideko’s maid and encourage her to marry Count Fujiwara. The plan seems to go accordingly until Sook-Hee and Lady Hideko discover some unexpected emotions.

4. The Housemaid (2010)



What’s It About: A remake of the 1960 film of the same name. Eun-Yi is hired as an au pair for Hae-Ra who is pregnant with twins, and her rich husband Hoon. Her primary tasks is to care for the young daughter, Nami. Nami and Eun-Yi soon being to bond. All the while, Hoon is secretly flirty with Eun-Yi. Soon the two begin to have an affair. Miss Cho the other live in maid catches the two having an affair. Eun-Yi finds herself against women with wealth, power, and no conscience.
