Some films just stick with you. Long after the movie is over, it still plays in your mind. In my opinion, a few Asian movies have that ability. They are so intriguing and tense, it seems like the chills in your spine will never stop. Then you spend the rest of your day trying to forget what you have just seen.

1.The Forest Of Love



What’s It About: Inspired by a true story in Kyushu, Japan from the 1990’s to the early 2000’s. Joe Murata is a screenwriter. He soon meets fellow screenwriters Jay, Fukami and Shin. The four are trying to make a film and they recruit a couple of sisters to star in it. Mitsuko and Ami have very strict parents. The small group of filmmakers and the sisters blindly follow Murata as he manipulates, seduces and abuses them. They even follow his bidding when murder is involved.

2.Killers



What’s It About: Nomura Shuhei is a Japanese excutive in Tokyo. He is charismatic, and well-liked. But he also harbors a dark secret. Nomura is a serial killer that documents his kills online. In Jakarta, Bayu Aditya is an obessed journalist, determined to get to the truth of his investigations. One day, Bayu is attacked by a robber and he fights back. He ends up killing the robber and places the video online. Nomura sees the video and it soons turns to a case of cat and mouse as the two battle for notoriety. It’s only a matter of time before the two come face to face.

Noboru is occupied with a new case, a respected doctor has suffered the same fate as the woman in the red dress. Evidence is starting to lead to Noboru as the main suspect. Will he be able to clear his name or is he something more evil?

What’s It About: Koichi Takakura is a former police profiler. He moves his family to a new place near the university for his new job as a lecturer. Takakura recieves a request from his former colleague to help with a six year old unsolved case. Speaking with Saki, the only surviving family member, Takakura finds out her family was acting bizarre before their disappearance. While in their new home, the neighbor tells them he has a sick wife and a young teen daughter. One day, the daughter sneaks into Takakura’s house and tells him the man is not her father.
