We all love horror-comedy films. One moment you’re laughing, and then the next you’re gripping your blanket for dear life. It really strikes a balance in the world of cinema if you ask me.

1. A Chinese Ghost Story
What’s It About: Ning Choi-San is a debt collector. He goes to a rural town to try and collect but fails and runs out of money in the process. After getting stuck in town and no residents willing to give him shelter, Ning Choi-San is forced to stay in the haunted Lan Ro Temple on the outskirts of town. While at the temple he meets Nip Siu-Sin, a beautiful young woman and falls in love with her. In the morning he tells the Taoist priest Yik Chik-Ha of his night. The priest tells him only ghosts live in the temple. Nip tells Ning her ghostly story and Ning vows to help Nip so the two can be together.

2. My Left Eye Sees Ghosts
What’s It About: May Ho has just became a rich woman after her husband drowns in a scuba diving accident. After inheriting his house, wealth and fashion company, May becomes depressed and goes on a eating and drinking binge. She steals the company car and ends up in a near-fatal accident. When May wakes up in the hospital, she removes her bandages from her left eye and she realizes that she can now see ghosts. Soon she finds herself of the company of Ken, a former classmate. Together they navigate the supernatural world. May soon asks Ken for a big favor, to help find her husband that she misses deeply. Will Ken be successful in his aid for May?

3. Mon Mon Mon Monsters
What’s It About: Lin Shu-Wei is constantly bullied by his high school classmates. He has been framed of stealing another classmates money and his punishment is to do community service alongside of his bullies. Slowly Shu-Wei is starting to be accepted among the bullies by joining them in various misdeeds. One day, Shu-Wei and the group decides to burglerize an elderly veterans home after spotting an old box is filled with stolen money. That night, during the robbery the teens come across a flesh-eating ghoul. They are forced to capture it to avoid being found out by the authorities. As the other teens try to figure out how to benefit from the captured ghoul, Lin Shu-Wei starts to wonder who the real monsters are.

4. Vampire Cleanup Department
What’s It About: Tim Cheung is an ordinary student in Hong Kong taking care of his elderly grandmother that suffers from memory loss. One night while at work, Tim gets bitten by a vampire before VCD agent Chau can neutralize the vampire. Tim wakes up the next day in his grandmother’s apartment with Agent Chau willing to explain everything. He then makes a shocking discovery, he’s not fully human. Only half. The other half being vampire. Stunned, Tim decides to dig further for the truth. He also finds out fighting vampires isn’t as easy as he thinks.

5. Secrets In The Hot Spring
What’s It About: Xiaogin has transferred schools again. His third in his fifth year of school. While on winter break, Xiaogin grandparents trick him into going to the hotel founded by his parents. Two of his friends, Little Princess and Lu Qun tag along to escape bullying from their classmates. While at the hotel, the teens soon learn the place is rundown and in bad shape. They also discover the hotel is haunted. Creepy incidents starts happening all around them. Will the teens be able to find out the secrets that hide within the hotel walls?
